Local Geelong competitor Michael Tancredi will enter this weekend’s Australian Pro Sprintcar Championship, Presented by Dirt X Ind at his home track in winning form after securing his third Victorian Championship at the Southern 500 Speedway in Portland last Saturday night.

Michael won the event in dominating fashion after leading all 25 laps to defeat local Portland based racer Daniel Storer, Jack Lee, and Queenslander Kinser Claridge. Jack Lee and Kinser Claridge will also be in action at Avalon this weekend.

“Winning the Victorian Title three times there is only one other thing I want to do and that is to win the Australian Title. It would be the best, simply awesome. We have been close to winning all season, tonight we got the car right so the result plus the way the car ran gives us great confidence going into the Title on the weekend” added Michael following his win last Saturday night.

The 2024 Australian Pro Sprintcar Championship, presented by Dirt X Ind, will be held at the Avalon Raceway in Geelong with the event beginning on Friday April 12 before the Championship finale on Saturday night (April 13).
