The decision to close down Global Racing is something that we haven’t taken lightly. It has been a tough decision to make but one that we feel is right at this present time. With our focus shifting to our existing business, It unfortunately does not leave the time Racing requires to run at the Professional level we are accustomed too. We feel it would be an injustice to GR and everyone who supports us to not give it the dedication it deserves.
Since our inception into the speedway world in 2016, We are very proud of what we have achieved in such a short time in the sport. We have made some great memories along the way and met a lot of good people, Who have become lifelong friends. Although from the start it wasn’t all smooth sailing and took us sometime to find our feet with crew, We would like to thank Cameron Burnham for his support in the early days as we tried to navigate our way through what is called “Sprintcar Racing”. Thank you to everyone else that have given up there weekends to help us throughout our time in the USC we are grateful to each and every one of you.
We would like to thank Courtney O’Hehir for steering the N71 in our year’s in the sport. Her dedication and support to the team was second to none, The way she handled her marketing is a true credit something that allowed us to leverage on and provide such a great package back to our corporate partners. We have achieved so much from a corporate partnership view and we attribute a lot of this to Courtney’s professionalism on & off the track. I would like to also thank Michael Stewart for coming on board the team, To pilot the NS71 in Courtney’s absence from the seat while having her first child. There was a field of young up & coming drivers to pick from, When we made the decision to bring someone in but what stood out to us and the reason behind having Michael as our driver, Was his commitment and professionalism on & off the track. Like Courtney, Michael’s dedication to our team was outstanding nothing was ever an issue, MS went above & beyond to entertain our corporate partners, all while having 110% dedication to his racing. We class you as a true friend and we look forward to what the future holds.
A special thank you must go out to Brent Coghlan as our Crew chief, Your dedication and commitment to not only our team but the sport in general, Is something you don’t find very often. We again are truly grateful for what you have done for our team in your time with GR, We have made a lot of memories along the way and we look forward to making more with you & your family in the future. It was great to finish our last season in the USC with a solid result finishing in the top ten of the USC. We attribute this success to both Michael & Brent’s commitment and professionalism that has allowed such success in a short period of time. We would also like to send a special thank you out to Briahn Welfare & Sam Coghlan for allowing the boys to do what they love doing week in week out.
We would like to also thank Sean Dyson for his support in the early days, A true gentleman of the sport that is always eager to lend a hand when needed, We wouldn’t have been able to start the way we did without your support. We would also like to thank Gav Skene from The Art of Speedway, Who has always been a great supporter of Global Racing and has done a lot throughout the years to help the team get to the level we did.
