We would like to take this opportunity to update you all on our current situation with regard to how the easing of COVID-19 restrictions will affect our operations.

Based on the most recent information, we can not operate under the 3 Stages released by the Government. Unfortunately, this means our 2019/20 season is now officially concluded. We would like to thank the competitors and race fans who helped make the season a success by participating, attending and supporting our events. We extend our sincere appreciation to our major sponsors – Ausdeck Patios and Roofing, East Coast Logistics, Performance Wholesale and Queensland Speedway Spares for their ongoing support and we thank all the officials, clubs and volunteers who worked tirelessly to ensure the smooth and safe operation of our events.

At this stage, our 2020/21 season is scheduled to commence with practice nights on August 22, September 5 and 19, with an opening weekend of October 3 and 4. With at least Stage 3 restrictions through to the end of July, we will not be scheduling any events prior to the aforementioned dates. Our intention is to get back on track for 2020/21 safely, with social distancing measures in place. We have lodged an enquiry with the Queensland Department of Public Health and the Minister for Sport to obtain further information specific to our operations, or at least seek some certainty with regard to our commencement date. We hope to have a response in the next two weeks.
