TEAM GREEN IS GO

Green Brothers Racing are pleased to announce it will be returning to sprintcar racing in a limited summer schedule.
Kayla Green, daughter of ace crew chief Darryl ‘Mouse’ Green and niece of past SA racing great Trevor Green and leading administrator Steven Green, will handle the driving duties.
Kayla has arrived home following a 10-month stint living in Sacramento, California, where she juggled veterinary science studies and racing.
She raced a number of meetings in her grandmother Sandra Miller’s winged midget.
Having started racing go karts at Nepean in western Sydney, Kayla then progressed into legend cars before her move to California and into her USA family’s ride, where she performed admirably, running in the top five in the seasonal championship pointscore.
Kayla will step in as driver for the Green Brothers Racing Maxim, which will carry her life-time race number #74.
Her first meeting will be this Saturday night (December 9) at Westlline Speedway in Whyalla, in a $10,000 to win event featuring a number of SA’s leading competitors.
Kayla is also scheduled to compete in Sydney (December 16, 26, 28, 30 and January 1), before returning to run in SA at Murray Bridge on January 6, with her final appearances booked in Sydney over January 12-13.
Trevor Green is enthusiastically awaiting the chance for the family name to again feature in Australian sprintcar ranks.
“Kayla has worked extremely hard over this past 12 months living studying and racing in Sacramento and really deserves her crack at it,” he reflected.
“I have seen first hand how hard she has worked and busted her backside during a three-month stint I spent with her racing around northern California.
“She really impressed me with her dedication and desire and ultimately her racing and understanding of what’s required.
“We would really like to thank my long-time loyal sponsors who have one again backed my desire to put this limited schedule together for Kayla.”
