Ben Atkinson and the Perth based Cowara / JAK CIVIL Sprintcar Team have joined forces to contest the entire Ostojic Chariots of Thunder Series. Ben who has just finished competing in the USC New South Wales Championship has kicked off the Darwin season in great form taking out Round 2 of the track championship at 7mate Northline Speedway.

Team owner Steve Duggan explained the move; “I have taken a car up to Darwin a few times in the WA95 days and also with the WA41 and had a lot of success and fun, I’m happy Benny is available to drive the car while the Transporter is parked up there. We will just be doing the Chariot Series with Benny and reassess what we are doing for our 2017/18 season when we return home.”

Ben Atkinson who is currently piloting his own Aeroflow ACT2 car at 7mate Northline Speedway will soon bolt his seat into the WA41 with crew chief Keith Giles at the helm. “I have to thank Steve and his team for giving me this opportunity to drive their car. I’m looking forward to working with Steve, Keith and the team they always have nice equipment and have been kind enough to let me bring my sponsors Aeroflow and System Homes on board for Chariots of Thunder.

Due to the tight timeline between the Chariots of Thunder Series and my race commitments at Valvoline Raceway, this opportunity will also allow me to load my own my own car and get my transporter to Sydney in time to prepare for the Sydney season.”

The Series kicks off on August 12th with the $10,000 to win Make a wish Cup which then leads onto Defend the Top End August 18th, The Pope 65 Race August 19th and the NT Title August 25th and 26th.
