James Mcfadden and the Monte Motorsport WA17 Chariot have entered the 2017 Ostojic Chariots of Thunder series. On this day 7 years ago James won his first Australian Sprintcar Championship and the last time he has raced at 7Mate Northline Speedway.

“My career started off in Darwin running the Chariots of Thunder series and when I won the Australian championship in 2010 that really launched my career as a professional Sprintcar driver. I have heard a lot of good things about Northline Speedway over the last couple years and I’m pumped and I can't wait to race there.”
It is a massive commitment for the Monte Motorsport to bring the Milwaukee Team from Perth. But also getting the Driver and crew chief back in time from half way around the world.

“We will miss the “Make a wish Cup” on August 12th as James will be competing at the Knoxville Nationals but we will be flying back to Australia right after the nationals and land in Darwin Thursday to compete in the rest of the series. You can’t get more of a contrast in racing but we love going to Darwin and it’s really special to bring James back to his home state where he has a massive following.” says Crew Chief Kim Buswell

The Milwaukee team still has a very big chance of taking out the Chariot of Thunder series with the “Make a Wish Cup” night not a point round for Chariots of Thunder, however they will have a disadvantage as all other drivers will have a round of research and development up their sleeve.

James is up for the challenge saying, “It’s going to be tough to adjust from running 20 something shows in America using American rules, flying back and hopping in a new car using Australian rules. For us it will be a lot about learning and trying new things that we can’t do while on the road.”

If you cannot be at 7mate Northline Speedway in August you can catch James and the Monte Motorsport team live on Clayperview. More Driver announcements to follow over the coming weeks.
