Kaiden Manders and the J&S Drilling Sprintcar Team once again showed top form in the final round of the 360 Sprintcar Power Series at the Attwell Park Speedway in Albany on Saturday.
Teenager Manders won both of his heat races in brilliant fashion - setting the fastest lap time in both events.
His second heat race success saw him cross the line a whopping 8.581 seconds ahead of his nearest rival - and he clocked the fastest lap time of the entire night (13.869 seconds).
All was looking good for the 25-lap feature race with Manders starting on the front row of the grid.
He raced straight into the lead - clocking the fastest time of the event (14.279 seconds) - and was looking good.
However on lap 4 a lapped car bounced off the wall in front of Manders and he could not avoid it.
He was sidelined with a flat tyre - an unfortunate finish to a brilliant night of racing.
Over the 10-round series Manders and the J&S Drilling Team dominated the proceedings.
He won three rounds, finished second four times and scored more heat race victories than any other driver.
Unfortunately the points have not been updated as this is written - a problem all season actually.
But Manders was leading by a massive 400 points leading up to the final round and he is a very deserving winner of the series.
"It was a very good night," said Manders. "We had fantastic car speed all night and we were really dialled in.
"The incident in the feature with a lapped car hitting the wall in front of me left me with nowhere to go and resulted in a flat tyre.
"Apart from that bad luck, it was an awesome night and we came so close to the clean sweep!
"I can't thank the crew enough for the car they gave me."

The J&S Drilling W60 team wishes to acknowledge the support of their loyal sponsors who enable us to keep on racing.
