This weekend Victorian Brenten Farrer will attempt create history as he chases his second consecutive Australian 360ci Sprintcar Allstars Championship. Throughout the previous 9 years of the series no one has been able to win the series more than once let alone back to back and going into the final round at Mildura on Saturday night Farrer holds a 26-point lead over his nearest rival following last weekend’s double header in South Australia.

“The margin is too close to go out there and point race. If we just go out there and do what we have all season the points will take care of themselves. I can’t control what happens to anyone else so we will just go out there and race hard on Saturday night” added Brenten as he prepared for his trip to the Timmis Speedway.

“On Saturday night at Waikerie the driver just ran out of talent and I threw away a potential podium finish so the points are a lot closer than they should be” he added.

The South Australian double header last weekend started off in impressive fashion with Brenten recording his sixth podium result of the season as he finished third at Adelaide Motorsport Park on his debut at the venue.

“It was a real shame that the race was shortened as we had a hot set up. The car was just coming in as the race was stopped but I really enjoyed racing at Adelaide. I had been waiting for that race all season and I was pleased at how good we run. After running out ART Chassis all season we switched to our spare Maxim and I couldn’t have been happier with the way it handled” commented Brenten following the race.

The following night Brenten ventured to the tight Sunline Speedway at Waikerie for the first time in over five years, the previous occasion was while defending his South Australian Championship in the AMCA Nationals.

After an encouraging heat performance, two second placing’s, Brenten started the A-Main on the front row but spun his #34 Frijtek Maxim while running second and with limited opportunities to pass he ended up finishing twelfth, the last car on the lead lap.
