Kaiden Manders has turned on another impressive performance at the Quit Bunbury Speedway last Saturday evening.
The J&S Drilling W60 team pilot was competitive right through the meeting which was the eighth round of the 360 Sprintcar Power Series for this season.
Manders contested the second lot of Hot Laps at Bunbury and was fastest with a 14.808 second circulation.
As is usually the case, the drivers in the third session went a bit faster and the young gun ended up fourth overall in the 17 car field.
The opening heat race saw Manders start in ninth position and race through the field to finish third.
In his next start he started second and finished first - the winning margin being 6.931 seconds and he clocked the fastest lap of the race (14.925 seconds).
Manders started from position 3 in the 20-lap feature race and quickly moved up to second.
He hit the front around lap 12 and several circuits later was re-passed by Daniel Keen.
Manders crossed the line on second spot and once again collected a bag of valuable points to keep him in front in the 360 Sprintcar Power Series competition.
"It was a good night," said Manders. "I felt like I really improved in traffic, and our car was really fast in the feature.
"I just made one mistake at the restart which cost us the race.
"But it was a great points haul and a good confidence boost after Collie."
Round 9 of the 360 Power Series will be back at Bunbury on Saturday, March 4, for the first night of the Krikke Boys Shootout, with the final to be held in Albany on April 1.
