Ryan Jones has teamed up with Sydney-based car owner Antony Jeffrey to pilot the NSW # 50 Triple X machine for three banner race meetings at Sydney’s Valvoline Raceway throughout the rest of January.

The four-time Australian 360 Sprintcar Champion, from Murray Bridge in South Australia, recently was contacted by Jeffrey, who has previously supplied his car to drivers such as Ultimate Sprintcar Championship NSW front-runner Sammy Walsh and Kelly Linigen,
offering him the opportunity to steer the brand new race car in three of the biggest events on the calendar, commencing with the Origin of Speed event on the Thursday night of January 12, followed by the Scott Darley Challenge and the 55th annual Australian 410 Sprintcar Championship.

The Origin of Speed, which will act as a curtain raiser to the annual Scott Darley Challenge, will see teams from NSW, Qld, Vic, SA, WA, Tas, NT and America, comprising of six drivers and a team manager, battle it out for top honours in the first ever running of the event. In
an interesting twist amid the rivalry between each of the teams, Jeffrey will help to prop up the South Australian team by supplying his NSW-based Triple X car to Jones, who has been seeded into his home state’s team.

“I can’t thank Antony, Custom Sprintcar Supplies and Triple X enough for the opportunity to race his car in these prestigious events,” commented Jones, who is supported by Triple X and therefore will be familiar with the chassis of the NSW # 50 Custom Sprintcar Supplies
backed Triple X machine.

“I’m looking very forward to running with a first-class car and equipment. I’ve competed at Valvoline Raceway twice last season, so I’ll be trying to get up to speed as quickly as possible when I first hit the track on January 12 and then hopefully I can come away with some strong results.”

Following the Origin of Speed, the annual Scott Darley Challenge will be held over two big nights of racing on the Friday and Saturday night of January 13 and 14. Jones’ final appearance at Valvoline Raceway in the Jeffrey-owned Triple X machine will be for the Australian Championship, commencing on Australia Day, January 26-28, where he will be hoping to use his recent track time to be a front-running contender.
