A new era is about to dawn for the city of Murray Bridge. This Sunday night, October 2, the most anticipated season in Murray Machining & Sheds Speedway history will blast off with a 104-car count and a spectacularly refurbished venue to celebrate.
Over the last few months and substantial number of improvements and additions have been made to the Speedway venue including:
5 KM of fibre optic cable laid
New PA System Speaker system
New ambulance room (with assistance from the Murray Bridge club)
New merchandise shop with a full range of merchandise for sale
Full interior clean and revamp of the canteens
Painting of numerous buildings on site
New signage for the raceway at all entrance and access points
New stewards/commentary/officials tower
Extensive concreting including pad for big screen, pathways etc
New ticket box
New online ticketing system – fans can now buy their tickets online
Security cameras around the facility
Cleaning of terracing including pressure cleaning
Photo shoots of numerous competitors for promotions
New pace car and promotional vehicle
Purchased more push cars
800 square metres of new turf placed around the venue
New camera stands for camera operators
New Playground for the kids in place
An extensive media plan has been put together with advertising spend on Triple M, 5AA, TV, local media and Social media.

New scrutineering bay
Replacement of some track lighting
Spray sealing of some major asphalt areas
The Speedway has come under the management of Madetoogo Pty Ltd in July that owns and promotes Valvoline Raceway in Parramatta NSW and Hi-Tec Oils Speedway Toowoomba in Queensland.
Bringing “MMS” into line with its sister Speedways has immediate flow on benefits.
“We’re really excited about the future with Murray Machining and Sheds Speedway,” says expatriate South Aussie now Sydney based Steven Green, “with our resources and our contacts with Australian and American drivers, plus our sponsorship and media data base we can really take Murray Bridge to the next level.”
The 20-night race schedule kicks off this Sunday night with a broad program of 360 cubic inch Sprintcars, Super Sedans, Wingless Sprints, Formula 500’s, Street Stocks, Junior Sedans and practice sessions on the night for USC Sprintcars.
The following Saturday, October 8 – sees the running of the first ever Ultimate Sprintcar Championship (USC) SA round which is the prestigious Bill Wigzell “Battle of the Bridge” memorial event.
Many of the country’s finest Sprintcar drivers will be fired up for the historic affair so mark it down in your diary!
