Karpenko’s Impressive Chariots of Thunder Run
Author : Redline Media

To say that Chace Karpenko enjoyed an impressive run throughout the Chariots of Thunder for Open Sprintcars over the past two weekends at Darwin’s Northline Speedway would be quite the understatement, which included two feature-race wins over the four nights.

Karpenko picked up Pope 65 Bob Ekins Memorial and the Northern Territory Title preliminary feature race wins, along with a second-place finish in the Northern Territory Title, and a DNF, due to a flat tyre while in podium contention during the Darwin Title feature race, spoiled another potential podium result.

While Karpenko’s drives throughout the Chariots of Thunder were impressive, he attributed his great run to a mixture of hard work from him and his team and also running consistent race meetings throughout the past 12 months.

“I couldn’t have been happier with my Chariots of Thunder performance and it was great to be able to run up the front over both weekends up front at my home track and in front of my loyal local sponsors and supporters,” expressed the driver of the NT # 21 Bridge Toyota / Maley’s Solicitors backed Maxim.

“When I look back over my Chariots of Thunder run, I’m very proud of what was achieved and had it not been for some bad luck at the Darwin Title, I would’ve quite possibly been able to come away with a podium on each night.

“Apart from the great effort of the team and the support from my valued sponsors, racing regularly down in Victoria last season played a massive part in my success over the Chariots of Thunder – in Sprintcar racing, nothing beats the value of track time.”

Following an impressive Chariots of Thunder performance, Karpenko is now looking to work on the plan to return south of the country for the upcoming 2016-17 season. He is looking to base his team in NSW at Sydney’s Valvoline Raceway, which is to include running the Christmas-New Year period and also the Australian Title.

Confidence plays a big part in the Sprintcar racing game, and it’s something that Karpenko is currently loaded with.

Karpenko would like to thank his 2016 season supporters: Bridge Toyota, Maley’s Solicitors, Tint-a-Car Darwin, Lubrimaxx, Autosmart NT, NT Motorcycle Centre, Coonawarra Panel Works, Toyota Access, H&R Block Tax Accountants, MAF (Mick’s Ally Fab), Opposite Lock Darwin, and Sign City.
