Interest in the inaugural USC "Origin of Speed" event at Valvoline Raceway has exploded.

Steve Green and Wade Aunger's phones have literally been buzzing with expressions of interest from teams and sponsors as discussion points ignite about the concept and the future members of the teams.

"We always knew this would be a concept that excited the public, but I think that early on this has exceeded even our expectations," says Green, "Wade's and my phones have been going crazy. Everyone wants to be a part of this and to know more."

More detailed information on the concept, the prize-money, driver eligibility, the format and the Manager selection process will be revealed soon.

The event will take place on THURSDAY NIGHT, JANUARY 12, 2017.

It is envisaged that teams of Six (6) drivers in each team from NSW, WA, SA, QLD, TAS, VIC and NT will be fielded for a Sprintcars-only night of competition.

"This has definitely captured the imagination of the teams and the fans alike. It's going to be an enormous event and it's the perfect curtain raiser to our biggest event of the year The Scott Darley Challenge," Green smiles.

Each team also has the opportunity to sell sponsorship packages that will add funding to their six-driver team.

"We will be working closely with each State and Territory's team to add value to their sponsorship packages," Green explains, "this is a great chance for State-proud organisations and individuals to get behind their respective State team."

Information on the inaugural USC Origin of Speed will follow in the next seven days.
