More Podium Joy for Dobson

The solid start to the 2015-16 season continued for Shaun Dobson with a podium finish in last Saturday night’s fourth round of the Eureka Garages & Sheds Series at Mount Gambier’s Borderline Speedway in South Australia.

In what was Dobson’s second podium finish of the season, he battled at the pointy-end of the field for the entire 30-lap distance with eventual winner James McFadden, Brett Milburn and Darren Mollenoyux and in the end had to settle for third.

“There was certainly plenty of action throughout the feature race, so I was kept busy from start to finish,” commented the ACT # 21 Essendon Ford / Quantum Quartz Designer Stone backed Cool driver, who had qualified second for the feature race and held down the lead for a handful of laps in the early stages.

“To pick up another podium result is a great boost for the confidence and this is just another example that my team is heading in the right direction.”

Dobson, who celebrated his 23rd birthday last Saturday night, had earlier in the night finished fourth in his opening heat race and then in the second and final heat race charged from the outside of the third row to claim an impressive win. By virtue of those two heat-race results, Dobson secured a front-row start for the feature race.

Dobson would like to say a special thanks to Jack ‘The General’ Lee for all of his help on Saturday night, along with Darren Russell, for allowing the team to be based out of his workshop for the season.

The 2015-16 season merchandise for Dobson is soon to be arriving in readiness for the busy Christmas-New Year period. The team will have t-shirts, hoodies and caps available for sale.

This Saturday night Dobson returns to Warrnambool’s Premier Speedway for the fifth Eureka Garages & Sheds Series round.

Dobson would like to thank the following 2015-16 season sponsors for all of their support:
Essendon Ford
Quantum Quartz Designer Stone
Road & River Motorcycles
Castrol Oil
Husqvarna Motorcycles
