Hot on the heels of his dramatic last lap win at the previous 360ci Sprintcar Allstars event at the Heartland Raceway at Moama Kilmore racer Brenten Farrer backed up his maiden round win with yet another podium A-main finish last weekend. Farrer charged his way to a third placed finish at the Murray Bridge Speedway and as a result he maintained his lead in the overall series at it heads to the Sonic Speedway at Swan Hill for round four this Saturday night.

“I was a bit disappointed to miss the pole shuffle but we got the car pretty good in the final. The South Australian guys are pretty tough so to come out of Murray Bridge with another podium result was pleasing” added Brenten following the event.

The night started off with Brenten qualifying his #34 Frijtek Industrial Refrigeration ART in ninth position during time trials with a lap of 12.858 which gave him two mid field starts for his heat races. Despite the tough draw he battled on to record a fourth and a fifth placing in his preliminary heats. These results, along with his time trial effort, placed Brenten seventh on the nineteen car A-main starting grid.

Throughout the A-Main Brenten drove a steady race running the mid track groove and he managed to move forward on a track that proved tough to tame as the event included several accidents and a number of restarts.

“Our goal this year is to win the Allstar Series and so far we having a good run but the series still has a long way to go. We will still do a few 410ci races this season as well, including the Classic and the Australian Title, but our main focus right now is with the 360”.

This Saturday night Brenten Farrer will head to Swan Hill to contest round four of the Australian Allstar Sprintcar Series.

Brenten would like to thank the following corporate supporters for their involvement in the 2015/16 Sprintcar Season: Frijtek Industrial Refrigeration, B&G Clancy Farm Contracting, Remote Tree Services, Ayross racing, B.A.T Training and Assessments, BNR Race Engines, Kouda Signs, PRP Engineering, JB Speedway Spares and Phil Michell Motorsport Media.
