David Hall has continued his good form from last season as he last night raced his way to victory in the feature event at the Perth Motorplex, doubling as round one of the 360 Sprintcar Power Series!
Hall started from position six in the final and had to chase the early leaders down, with regular Speedcar pilot Kaiden Manders the man to beat early.
Manders broke away while Hall made his way into second after passing Aldo De Paoli and set about chasing down Manders.
As Manders made his way through lapped traffic Hall began to wind the leader in and shortly after grabbed the lead. Manders fought back and retook the front position, but Hall was quick to pounce again, taking the lead and never looking back on lap seventeen, leading the next three laps to take the win in the twenty lap final.
Manders fought hard but Depaoli, who had closed the gap while Hall and Manders were battling it out, was able to just pip Manders at the post, crossing just 0.088 seconds ahead of Manders.
Earlier heat races were taken out by Manders, Rob Watson Junior and Todd Davis, while Jamie Landrigan went for a ride on the wild side in heat one and ending his night early. Qualifying went to Owen Ahchee in group one while David Hall was fastest in group two.
The next round of the series is this coming weekend at Bunbury, so stay tuned for all the details as they are released this week.
