Kerry Madsen and his Keneric Racing/American Racing team bounced back from a tough night at the Eldora Speedway to finish fifth with the World of Outlaws at the Berlin Brawl in Berlin, MI.

“They keep changing the Eldora, and we are trying to get back to where we have been at that track in years past, but we are just a little off,” Kerry Madsen said. “Saturday night we were really good, and it was great to get a World of Outlaw Top-Five.”

Hitting the Eldora Speedway for the final time in 2015 on Friday night, Madsen timed the Keneric Racing/American Racing No. 29 machine in 22nd fastest before racing his way from sixth to third in his heat race.

Moving into the feature event, the St. Marys, NSW driver would grid the field from the 10th row for what would be a non-stop 30-lap A Main event. With the preferred line on this night being the bottom, Madsen did what he could to make up ground in the fast moving race, and ended up finishing 17th aboard the Keneric Racing/American Racing No. 29.

Saturday night, Madsen and his American Racing Custom Wheels backed team headed to the Berlin Raceway in Berlin, MI to take part in the Berlin Brawl. Timing in fourth fastest on this night, ‘The Mad Man’ would finish third in his heat race, and move into the night’s Dash.

Falling back to the seventh spot in the Dash, Madsen would line up in the fourth row for the A Main event aboard the American Racing Custom Wheels backed No. 29. Getting off to a nice start, Madsen quickly worked his way into the Top-Five as the leaders found themselves in traffic as early as the fifth lap.

Chasing after Brad Sweet and Logan Schuchart late in the race, Madsen would look for the final spot on the podium as they battled in thick traffic. With lapped traffic hampering a bit, Madsen would end his weekend with a fifth place finish.

“After a less than desirable run on Friday night, the boys gave me an awesome car on Saturday night,” Madsen said. “We had a shot at the podium, but traffic was brutal and we just could not get where we needed to be. I have to thank the Gavranich family, as well as the American Racing Custom Wheels team, and all of our product manufacturers for continuing to support us.”
