Kyle Hirst continued to stay hot with the King of the West Series as the two-time and defending series champion picked up his third consecutive win the with the series on Saturday night at the Placerville Speedway.

“I sound like a broken record, but I am just very thankful to be a part of this team, and am extremely grateful that Dennis and Theresa Roth let me continue to run for them in California,” Kyle Hirst said.Hirst and company have been strong since rejoining in May, and with his Saturday night win, Hirst has tied his career high single season win total with the KWS as swept the two series events at the Placerville Speedway.

Lining up on the front row with current series point leader, Carson Macedo, Hirst powered his way into the lead, though he would feel pressure from Shane Golobic.

Over the last few seasons, Hirst and Golobic have put on memorable duels as the Placerville Speedway and Saturday night was shaping up to be another one until Golobic had issues early in the race, and Hirst re-assumed the lead.

On the extremely slick Placerville Speedway surface, Hirst would feel pressure from Andy Forsberg as well as a resurgent Colby Copeland during the later stages of the race, but he would not be denied on this night, as he scored his fourth KWS win of the season, and third consecutive with his Roth Motorsports team.

“We have been on a roll lately, and I am hoping we can continue it next week as he head down to the Peter Murphy Classic,” HIrst said. “There are a ton of people who have worked hard to make the Murphy a big race, and I hope we can get a lot of fans down at that show as well.”
