Kerry Madsen and his Keneric Racing/American Racing team continue to put up consistent finishes with the World of Outlaws, and that was on display over the last week, as Madsen recorded three more World of Outlaw Top-10 finishes highlighted by a surge from the 18th starting spot at the River Cities Speedway.

“We had a good car all week long, and that shows by our consistent finishes,” Madsen said. “We all want to pick up that World of Outlaws win bad, and we are right there I feel.”

With rain pushing Tuesday night’s bout at the Granite City Speedway to Wednesday night, a lightening fast surface greeted competitors as Madsen timed the American Racing backed No. 29 machine in ninth fastest.

By way of his qualifying time, Madsen lined up on the front row of his heat race and beat Bill Balog into the first turn and never looked back. “The Mad Man” take a spot in the dash, and his eighth place finish would put him in the fourth row in the series’ first ever visit to the speedway.

With the surface staying extremely fast, and relatively narrow through much of the night, Madsen would run in the Top-10 as he battled with Tim Kaeding and Paul McMahan throughout the race.

Though the track would slowly start to widen up in the closing stages, Madsen and McMahan would fight back and forth late in the race, but Madsen would end his night with an eighth place finish.

Heading to the River Cities Speedway on Friday night, Madsen would time his American Racing/Keneric Racing/Morrison Engines powered machine a very uncharacteristic 25th fastest.

From his third row starting position in heat race action, the St. Mary’s, NSW, Australia pilot was able to hang on to the fifth spot as he would move into the main event, though he was grid the field from the 18th starting position.

With the race track extremely racy on this night, Madsen was able to take full advantage of the multiple grooves that were offered, and he carved the American Racing No. 29 machine through the field.

In the final stages of the race, Madsen would jump into the Top-10, as he would end an impressive run with a ninth place finish.

Heading to South Dakota on Saturday night, Madsen and company would follow ‘The Greatest Show on Dirt’ to the Dakota State Fair Speedway. Getting his night off to a much better start on Saturday than he did on Friday night, Madsen would sit second quit on the speed chart when qualifying came to a close.

Following a fourth place effort in heat race action, Madsen would slip back to an eighth place finish in the dash and line up in the fourth row for the 30-lap feature event.

Able to work his way forward, Madsen would spend much of the race battling with Jason Sides and Paul McMahan on this night as passing was at a premium as the leaders found themselves in traffic early and often, following an extended red flag to open the race.

Continuing his very consistent 2015 season, Madsen would close his weekend out with a sixth place finish, as his Keneric Racing/American Racing team continue to sit third in the World of Outlaws point standings.

“Consistency is key in this sport, and we have been very consistent this year, which is a huge credit to this entire team,” Madsen said. “We are entering the stretch in the season which was very good to us in 2014, and we are confident heading into again this year. Huge thanks to the Gavranich family, as well as the team at American Racing Custom Wheels for continuing to stick with us, and allow us to compete.”
