Hirst Fourth At Tulare in Return to CA

Returning back to his native California, and to the seat of the Roth Motorsports No. 83JR machine, Kyle Hirst hit the Thunderbowl Raceway on Saturday night and scored a fourth place finish.

“It was great to get back to California, and work with the Roth Motorsports California team again,” Hirst said. “We had some great speed, and I was happy to get a fourth place finish.”

With 24 cars checked into the Thunderbowl Raceway for the Chris and Brian Faria Memorial, Hirst would time the Roth Enterprises/HR Livestock Transportation/3H Cattle No. 83jr machine in third quickest in time trials.

Starting in the second row of his heat race, Hirst had his elbows up, and he made a couple of strong moves to get to the front, and race his way to the heat win, and move into the night’s dash.

With the redraw not going Hirst’s way, he would line the Mobil1/KW Suspension/FK Rod Ends machine up in the fourth row of the shootout, before working his way up to finish in the fourth spot, putting him in the second row for the feature event.

With some debris getting to his nose-wing early in the night, Hirst was still able to move forward, as he bounced inside the top-four during most of the race. Getting into the second spot at times, and challenging for the race lead, Hirst would ultimately end his night with a fourth place finish.

“We had a ton of speed all night, and went forward each time we hit the track,” Kyle Hirst added. “After the way we raced in the dash, I thought we had a really good car going into the main, but unfortunately some debris got into a nose-wing on the start of the race. Overall, huge thanks to the guys for their hard work, and a big thank you to Dennis and Teresa Roth for letting me drive for them in California.”

The Roth Motorsports team would like to thank Roth Enterprises, HR Livestock Transportation, 3H Cattle, Mobil1, FK Rod Ends, Weld Wheels, Brown and Miller Racing Solutions, Kent Performance, Kaeding Performance, KW Suspension, and Astro Titanium for their support in 2015.
