TOBY TURBOS TO SECOND PLACE IN SEASON FINALE
Author : Toby Bellbowen Motorsport

Toby Bellbowen ended his season on a high with a very impressive second place in the grand final of the Sprintcar Track Championship at Valvoline Raceway on Saturday night, March 28.

Starting towards the front of the field for the 30 lap A-Main and making ground on the leaders late in the race, it was a good way to end what has been a good season, however challenging at times too. In finishing second, Toby also managed to climb back into fifth in the standings.

“A 2nd place to finish off is something I'm pleased with,” Toby said, “It's not what we wanted, but taking into account our recent results, where we started and the competitive cars that showed up - the team and I are happy to finish fast.”

“Our season has had its fair share of ups and downs. We've had one of the fastest cars all season long. I'd say it's a season where I was able to show my potential as a driver.

“Unfortunately we weren't able to win a race, and what is most disappointing is that I feel we should have won a few, however we were also able to learn from our mistakes each week, and that's what made us fast right up until the end. I'm happy with the run we had, but I think it's only right to be disappointed we didn't finish further up in the track championship and get some wins along the way. It's made us hungrier for next season.”

So now the focus shifts to the off season and ultimately the 2015/16 Speedway season.

“I'm already working on a big season. A 2nd place to finish off the season it probably was the perfect way of making us happy, but to also give us hunger for next season. I think next season will be my biggest yet, after a season of realising our true potential.

“We have a few tweaks planned for next year’s cars at this point. Anything can change from now until September, but for now the Maxim seems to handle just fine, and Allan Felsch's engines are doing a great job, too.”

It is a long winter ahead but rest assured, next season and beyond, you will be hearing the name Toby Bellbowen for a long time yet!

Although no schedule has been released, it is expected that Toby will return to the track in Sydney in early October for next season’s track championship. A full schedule will be released by the team once schedules are set later this year.
