West coast Sprintcar star David Priolo has contested six events so far this season and has been right on the pace on every single occasion.

For the 2014-15 season David Priolo Motorsport has teamed up with Watson's Express Transport and the #8 projectile has a new red livery and is running alongside Robert Watson Jr and Ken Sartori in a powerful new team.

Priolo has been right on the pace at every outing and with a little bit more luck would have scored his first win for his new team.

In the time trials the #8 car set fast time of 14.288 seconds at the prestigious King of Wings meeting at Perth Motorplex on November 22 in a top class field of 28 cars.

Priolo has also qualified third and fourth at other meetings.

He has moved forward in most of his heat races, scoring a couple of race wins and several other placings.

In the main events, he has been prominent most times, but has had several frustrating races in which he failed to show his true potential.

At the season opener at Perth Motorplex he started from position 3 in the field and was looking good until he experienced engine dramas some nine laps from home.

Priolo started from the pole position in the Magic Man 34 event at Perth Motorplex and was looking a strong contender until he got mixed up with another car while battling for the lead.

At his next outing at the Quit Bunbury Speedway he ran with the leaders throughout the main event and came home a creditable second.

Priolo started from the pole position in the King of Wings at the Kwinana venue and was leading the field coming up to the last lap when he experienced front end problems and was able to limp home second.

Back at Bunbury he was running second when his brakes failed and he slipped back through the field.

His last race was the WA Sprintcar Championship meeting at Perth Motorplex where he started from third spot and diced with American driver Kyle Hirst for much of the race.

They traded places several times and Priolo eventually had to settle for fourth position in a fine drive.

So after not finishing the first two events of the season, Priolo has crossed the line second, second, ninth and fourth.

Coming up straight after the Christmas break are two big nights in a row at Perth Motorplex (December 26) and Bunbury (December 27).

Don't be surprised to see the #8 machine of David Priolo right up there at the pointy end of the field when the chequered flag is waved.
