VORTEX Wings have come onboard as a sponsor for the 2014-15 AHG Sprintcar Series.

Sprintcar Entrants Group chairman Geoff Kendrick said Paul from Vortex was offering a front wing for the first six rounds of the season to the driver who sets the fastest time in qualifying.

Last week, at the season opener at the Perth Motorplex, that honour went to Jason Kendrick who pounded out a 14.396 second lap at a best speed of 125.035km/h, bettering Jeff Leisk’s 14.499 at 124.146km/h.

Geoff Kendrick said the SEG was happy to welcome Vortex to the AHG Series.

“They are the premier wing manufacturer in the world for sprintcars,” Kendrick said.

“We are lucky to have them onboard and hopefully they will be involved long-term with the AHG Sprintcar Series.”

This Saturday night another front wing will be up for grabs when the Magic Man 34 is contested at the Perth Motorplex.

Drivers contesting each round of the series are eligible for the Hoosier draw where they go into the competition to win a right rear Hoosier tyre.

The winner of the first Hoosier for the season was Shaun Bradford.
