Reidy’s Top Five Form Continues

Danny Reidy made his 2014-15 season debut at Brisbane’s Archerfield Speedway last Saturday night, and he came away with another top-five result.

Despite being relatively pleased with a fourth-place finish in the feature race, he was left to rue an opening lap incident that hampered his chances of contending for the win.

“I had qualified on the front row of the feature race, but I got caught up with another driver on the opening lap and consequently drop a couple of positions,” explained the NQ # 5 Desert Palms Resort in Alice Springs supported Maxim driver, who had set the second fastest lap of the feature race.

“With it being mainly one lane on the top of the track for the majority of the feature race, it was difficult to pass, and it wasn’t helped that we were unable to really get into lapped traffic due to stoppages. That said, we still had a strong car, but our fourth-place finish wasn’t a true reflection of our speed.”

The night started for Reidy by qualifying fifth fastest in time trials. From there, he finished his two heat races in second and fifth place respectively. These results qualified him into the top 6 dash, where he went on to finish in second.

This Saturday night (October 25), Reidy will return to Sydney’s Valvoline Raceway, for the third round of their track championship.

Reidy would like to thank Desert Palms Resort in Alice Springs, Downs Tinting & Signs, P&M Motor Body Repairs, Gonzo’s Race Pipes and Inglis Race Engines, for their 2014-15 season support.
