After a less than ideal start to the new racing season, Blake Skipper is determined to put the opening two meetings behind him and focus on what he knows he can do best – run consistently.

Blake will be in action this Saturday night at Valvoline Raceway for the third round of the Sprintcar Track Championship and up against a red-hot field, Blake just wants to run good, consistent laps.

“Having the week off has helped clear my mind and find my passion again,” Blake said, “I believe the car is as ready as ever and should be ready to throw down some fast laps.

“My focus this weekend is to have a positive attitude and have fun and hopefully the results will show as a result of this.

“I truly believe once we put all of the issues from the opening two weeks behind us, we will have a bigger and better showing. My season starts tomorrow night.”

Following tomorrow night, Blake will be racing at Valvoline Raceway on November 8 and November 22 before heading into the busy Christmas period.
