Jackson motors on to round three

Jackson Delamont heads back to Sydney’s Valvoline Raceway to tackle round three of the Sprintcar Track Championship this Saturday night.

The week off came at a good time for the young racer, as he used the time well to prepare for warfare this weekend.

“We spent a lot of time working on the car last weekend, in fact the whole weekend. We focused on getting things working better to give us the best possible shot at a good run this weekend,” Jackson said.

You get the feeling this young man doesn’t like weekends off.

“Yeah we are definitely looking forward to getting back out there this weekend,” grinned Jackson, “having a weekend off just makes you want to race that much more!”

Currently, at this early stage, Jackson sits in twenty-second position in the Sprintcar Track Championship, a position he will be hoping to improve come the conclusion of Saturday night.

“This season, it is especially tough. There are plenty of good cars and drivers out there. You never go to Valvoline Raceway sure of yourself, simply because the competition is just so tough. I am reasonably happy with our progress so far, but we need to make sure we consistently make the A-Main each night, to be in a good running for the Track Championship,” Jackson concluded.

A reminder that Jackson’s team page www.facebook.com/JacksonDealmont48 gives regular updates throughout the night of racing plus there is plenty of merchandise on sale at each meeting.

Jackson would like to thank his sponsors for their support this season:
