FARR IS FAST AND READY

Two wins, a second and a third place in four A-Mains for Robbie Farr in Queensland earlier this month is a ‘solid’ build up to the ECP Racing Team’s impending blast off at Valvoline Raceway’s season opener on Saturday night, October 4.
Racing in the inaugural East Coast Tri-City Series was an earlier start to the year for the team but a welcome hit-out for the Hi-Tec Oils #7 Maxim with it’s impressive Garrett Racing Engines program.
“We were solid in Queensland,” Farr explains, “the car was excellent, Nick (Speed) had us where we needed to be each night and now we come down to Sydney on October 4 with plenty of speed. We’re in a good place.”
Farr and Speed are both extremely happy with the motor program.
“Charlie Garrett is a legend of engine building in the States,” says crew chief Nick Speed, “he’s in his 70’s these days but his energy and his enthusiasm is just incredible. And he builds incredible motors.”
ECP Racing homes in on the first night of the new season at the new owners-new attitude Valvoline Raceway on October 4.
“We always have plenty of desire to win at any race track,” says Farr, “and naturally we love competing in Sydney, but it’s safe to say we have an extra determination to do well there this year. We’d love to kick off the new season down there with a win.”
