McKENZIE, TN - Several J&J Auto Racing teams found victory lane in Sprint car action all across the country over the last week. Donny Schatz, Terry Gray, Tony Stewart, Lee Grosz, Matt Moro, Jared Zimbardi, Jordan Ryan and Tony Grams all picked up Sprint car wins recently driving J&J Sprint cars.

DONNY SCHATZ

Donny Schatz won his fifth Don Martin Silver Cup at Lernerville Speedway in Sarver, Pennsylvania last Tuesday. Schatz wheeled the Tony Stewart Racing No. 15 STP/Armor All/Crimsafe J&J to victory in the first 30-lap A-Feature. It was his ninth WoO A-Feature triumph of the season and 155th of his career.

"The STP car was awesome tonight," said Schatz, who continues to lead the WoO championship standings. "The guys have been working hard and we are trying to get better and better every night."

Schatz raced from 17th to seventh in the second 30-lap A-Feature and earned the overall title for the event.

TERRY GRAY

Terry Gray led a J&J podium sweep last Thursday night in the USCS Sprint Car Series event at Lavonia (Georgia) Speedway. Gray wheeled his No. 10 J&J from the outside of the front row and into the lead at the start and led every lap to score his second USCS win of 2014.

“It feels really good to get back here (to Victory Lane) tonight,” said Gray following the win. “I got a little nervous when I couldn’t get by the slower traffic ahead of me there late in the race, and I knew (teammate) Morgan (Turpen) was coming behind me, but I figured if I couldn’t get by them that no one was going to have the steam to pass me. Morgan ran a great race though, and this is a great night for our team.”
Turpen raced the No. 10m J&J to a second-place finish and was followed by Eric Riggins, Jr. (No. 47 J&J).
TONY STEWART

Three-time NASCAR Sprint Cup Series champion Tony Stewart returned to Sprint car action for the first time in almost a year last Friday night and Smoke came out victorious. He race the Rush Trucking Centers backed No. 14 TSR J&J to victory in the Engine Pro Sprints on Dirt presented by ARP event at the Tri-City Motor Speedway. He started fifth in the main event and took over the top spot from Dustin Daggett to score his second career SOD feature win and first since 2012.

“It’s been eleven and a half months since I’ve been (in a sprint car), and I really missed it,” said Stewart following the win.

LEE GROSZ

Lee Grosz earned a hard fought victory Friday night at Fairmont (Minn.) Raceway. He raced the No. 4J J&J to victory fending off several challenges from Brian Brown. He started the night by winning the opening heat and then drew the pole for the JSTS/Minnesota Mafia Speedweek event. Grosz led every lap and earned his fourth victory of the season.

MATT MORO

Matt Moro drove Mike VanderEcken's J&J to victory Friday night at the Iowa State Fairgrounds in Des Moines. The win was his fourth of the season and he leads the championship standings with only four races remaining in 2014.

JARED ZIMBARDI

The 2014 season has been a memorable one for Jared Zimbardi. The driver of the No. 35 J&J captured his first ever 410 sprint win earlier in the season at Lernerville Speedway and Friday night he notched his first ever Lucas Oil Empire Super Sprint 25-lap A-Main victory.

Zimbardi took the lead to start the E&V Energy Tour of the States feature and led the entire distance pocketing $1,500 for the win at the Yates County Speedway.

“It’s just been a long time, we started with the Empire Super Sprints in 1997 then our paths kind of split,” commented Zimbardi. “It’s just nice to get an ESS win under our belt. It’s pretty cool, I’m very happy.”
JORDAN RYAN

Jordan Ryan took the lead with six laps remaining Saturday night at Fremont Speedway in the Federal Credit Union 305 main event. Once in front, he pulled away in his No. 5 J&J backed by Griff’s Engines/Village Pizza House/Walton’s Cutting Crew/Frosty Frog/J&J Automotive/Big D Landscaping. The victory was his fifth of the season.

TONY GRAMS

Tony Grams won Saturday's Carolina RaceSaver Sprint Car Series main event in his No. 22 J&J at Sumpter (S.C.) Speedway.
