SIX J&J DRIVERS RACE TO VICTORY
Author : J&J

McKENZIE, TN –Six J&J Auto Racing teams took their machines to victory lane last weekend in Sprint car racing across the land. Jeff Swindell won an ASCS National Tour event in Montana, Lee Grosz won a NOSA event in Minnesota, Brooke Tatnell came out on top in UMSS action, Tyler Ross won in Pennsylvania, Brandon Jennings made it two in a row in Oklahoma while Kyle Sager was victorious in New Mexico.

LEE GROSZ

Lee Grosz came out victorious last Thursday night as the NOSA Outlaw Sprint Car Series made their annual visit to Norman County Raceway in Ada, Minnesota. It was Grosz in the No. 4 J&J and fellow J&J racer Wade Nygaard (No. 9 J&J) that battled it out during the final 10 laps. The two exchanged slide jobs lap after lap with Grosz ultimately pulling away and earning his first ever win at the track.

"I just knew I needed to get clear of (Nygaard) if I wanted to win," said Grosz, who won the race with a 360 cubic motor competing against 410s. "I needed to get out by myself and run my line in clean air. They had an awesome track tonight. One of the raciest tracks I've been on this year."

TYLER ROSS

Tyler Ross won in only his second appearance of the year at Lincoln Speedway in the 20-lap “358” sprint car feature. Ross, driving the Tim Eldreth #23J J&J, started sixth, took the lead six laps into the race and led the final 14 laps to earn his second career Lincoln win.

JEFF SWINDELL

Jeff Swindell was all smiles after his victory Saturday night at Billings (Montana) Motorsports Park. He raced the Heartland Catfish sponsored No. 94 J&J to his second ASCS National event triumph of 2014 by leading every lap of the main event. The victory didn’t come easy as the Memphis-area native had to maneaver lapped traffic and find the fast way around the track to secure the win.

"When you're running a cushion like that, being out in the open air really makes a world of difference,” said the winner. “The cushion's really hard to see when you get behind somebody because they are just blowing up so much dust off the tires, so you have to just feel your way to the cushion by the car in front of you so it makes it really good to be sitting out front."

KYLE SAGER

Kyle Sager picked up his fourth win of 2014 last Saturday night at Southern New Mexico Speedway in Las Cruces, New Mexico. Sager wheeled his No. 9 J&J to victory.

BROOKE TATNELL

Australian Sprint car star Brooke Tatnell put on a show last Friday night in Duane Nelson’s No. 14 J&J scoring his 27th career UMSS win at the Open Wheel Nationals at St. Croix (Wisconsin) Raceway. Tatnell started 18th and methodically passed cars seemingly in every corner. By lap 19, he was up to second and during the final six laps he overtook Carson McCarl to score the victory.

BRANDON JENNINGS

Brandon Jennings made it two wins in a row at Lawton Speedway as he raced his No. 21 J&J to victory for the second consecutive weekend in the Sprints division. He not only won the feature event, but he swept the program by also taking the win in his heat race.
