Kaeding Captures Pair Of Outlaw Top-10’s

With his California trip winding down, Tim Kaeding pocketed a pair of Top-10 finishes with the World of Outlaws, as the series now heads to Texas.

Taking to the Kings Speedway on Friday in Hanford, CA and the Perris Auto Speedway on Saturday in Lake Perris, CA, TK looked to close out the tour of his native California with a bang.

Lining up in the seventh row of the feature event after just narrowly missing the heat race inversion, the San Jose, CA driver was on the gas in the 35-lap main event.

Moving up inside the Top-10 early, Kaeding fell victim to a crash with the leaders, and the result was a collapsed nose wing, but he refused to give up track position, and continued on.

While most would have struggled, TK had his elbows up as he battled with his teammate, Kyle Hirst, and Paul McMahan, as the trio jockeyed position for much fo the race.

The end result was Kaeding crossing the stripe in the fourth spot, right on Paul McMahan’s bumper.

Heading south to put a period on the California swing, TK timed his machine in 11th fastest, putting him on the front row of his heat race, which he won, and earned a spot in the Dash.

Lining his Roth Enterprises/HR Livestock Transportation/3H Cattle machine up in the sixth spot for the Dash, TK would finish there, and line up for the feature in the third row.

On a deteriorating track, Kaeding would search for grip, as he battled with Paul McMahan for the second consecutive night, until Donny Schatz threw his name into the fight for fifth.

In the waning laps, the track began taking rubber, and TK was forced to get in line in the seventh spot, and head East with a seventh place finish.

“It was a tough stretch in California at times,” TK said. “It is really nice to close it out with a couple of Top-10 finishes, and hopefully we can get to Texas and get this thing to victory lane.”

Tim and his Roth Motorsports team would like to thank Roth Enterprises, HR Livestock Transportation, 3H Cattle, Mobil1, FK Rod Ends, Weld Wheels, Brown and Miller Racing Solutions, Kent Performance, Kaeding Performance, and Astro Titanium for their support in 2014.
