The 2012-13 Perth Motorplex season dates have been released and the AHG Sprintcar Series will play a major part in the racing activities at the venue.

The Grand Opening Showdown on Saturday October 20 will be the first opportunity for the fans to catch the high speed action after their long winter hibernation.

A fortnight later we honour the late great Michael Figliomeni with the Magic Man 34 midget event along with another round of the AHG Sprintcar Series.

The Scardifield Smash Repairs Sprintcar King of Wings event will be the highlight of the November 24 activities.

A new event - the Bonza Bradford Sprintcar Classic - will be staged on December 8 on the Kwinana high banks.

The Sprintcar Christmas Cup takes place on Thursday December 27 at Perth Motorplex - the day after the WA Championship at Bunbury.

Saturday January 5 sees the running of the 9th annual Sprintcar Muster.

The AHG Sprintcar Series continues on Sunday January 27 followed by the tribute to John Day - The General 25 - on Saturday March 9.

The final night of the Australian Super Sedan Championship on Saturday March 23 will also feature the mighty Sprintcars.

The annual Sprintcar Silver Cup bursts into life on Saturday March 30 with the season finale - the Sprintcar Gold Cup - taking place on Saturday April 13.

The Grand Final of World Series Sprintcars is set down for Friday February 22 and Saturday February 23 - but this time around these events will not carry AHG Sprintcar Series points.

Several other big events are on the Perth Motorpex Calendar for 2012-13 - check out www.motorplex.com.au for further details - but they will not feature Sprintcars.
