The much anticipated schedule of events for the 2012/13 season at Supercheap Auto Archerfield Speedway is now available online at brisbanespeedway.com.au and it's a schedule that will please many racing fans with a dynamic mix of regular Saturday night Track Championship events, major International Sprintcar races and no less than five Australian Championship events including the 2013 Sprintcar Title all on the schedule!
The 2012/13 season will officially get under way on Saturday September 29 with the first of fifteen Rounds of the KRE Race Engines Sprintcar Track Championship, Monster Trucks, Midgets, Fireworks and support class racing on the programme. The September 29 opener will follow two "Hot August Nights" events on August 4 and 18 and two practise nights which will be open for all competitors on September 15 and 22.
While the pre-Christmas dates are littered with Track Championship events for most classes of racing, it is the period between Boxing Day and the end of January that is one of the most exciting in the venue's long and storied history. Consider the following events and dates and start organising your attendance as you will not want to miss them...
Add to this list, a possible third night of the Australian Sprintcar Championship on January 10 if more than sixty entries are received for the Title and it's an absolutely huge month of racing at Archerfield featuring the cream of drivers from around Australia, the United States and New Zealand!
To cap it off, nestled in amongst the dates later in the season is the Australian V8 Dirt modified Championship which is scheduled to be held on the weekend of May 4/5. With Qld widely regarded as the home of the toughest Dirt Modified racing in the country and Qld drivers dominating results of the Australian Title in recent years, this too is another event Qld race fans will not want to miss.
In all, it's just short of forty nights of racing at Supercheap Auto Archerfield Speedway next season. With five Australian Championships to be decided, International Sprintcar events featuring Donny Schatz and Rico Abreu, the Supercheap Auto World Series Australian Sprintcar Open and the Capalaba Wreckers Sprintcar Cup, the KRE Race Engines Sprintcar Track Championship, the Polar Ice Midget Series and a whole lot more, Qld's Home Of Speedway is set to sizzle in 2012/13 and the action begins September 29.
