The entry forms for the 2012 Easter Sprintcar Trail may have only just hit the Premier Speedway website but already one team has signaled its intentions ahead of the three night Sprintcar extravaganza.

The Sydney based Rocket Industries backed Sprintcar team have been quick off the mark in nominating up and coming young gun Matt Young in his familiar N6M entry, while six time Australian Champion Garry Brazier will cast his usual shadow across what promises to be a star studded Easter Trail line up in the distinctive Rocket backed N21 car.

The addition of Brazier to the ultra professional Rocket Industries stable will add an exciting dimension to the Easter trail as the polarizing figure that is Garry Brazier descends on Avalon Raceway, Borderline Speedway and Sungold Stadium, Premier Speedway, Warrnambool.

“The Easter Trail is just around the corner and to have Matt and Garry on board at this early stage is a huge bonus for all three venues”, Premier Speedway General Manager David Mills said.

“Matt’s been on the improve for a while now and to have Garry in his corner, as a teammate, can only be a good thing! I know Graeme Cowin the Managing Director at Rocket Industries will ensure that his team have all the best go fast bits needed to be successful at Easter, it is going to be exciting”, Mills added.

The 2012 edition of the Easter Sprintcar Trail offers competitors an additional $10,000.00 on top of the usual nightly payouts and overall points bonuses for anyone that can sweep all three nights of competition.

“I have no doubt that Garry will be pulling in the gate at Avalon keen to put on a show and to give himself every opportunity of staking a claim for the $10,000.00 bonus”, Mills said.

Early indications are that the complete list of nominations for the Easter Sprintcar Trail will be a strong one, with the Monte Motorsport Team including American driver Shane Stewart having already indicated that they will be on board as well.

“I was fortunate enough to be able to speak with a number of teams throughout this past weekend about their plans for the Easter weekend and fortunately a majority of them are keen to head our way and be a part of the show”, Mills emphasized.

More big names will be announced as their nomination forms filter through!

“With both the Essendon Ford Track Championship at Avalon and our own Parr Motorsports GF1 Chassis Track Championship coming to a close here at Premier Speedway during Easter, we are likely to see the best of the best in action over three massive nights, all of which include monster fireworks displays”, Mills concluded.

The Easter Sprintcar Trail is set for decision at Avalon Raceway on Friday April 6, Borderline Speedway, Mt. Gambier on Saturday April 7 and Sungold Stadium, Premier Speedway, Warrnambool on Sunday April 8.

Pre-sold tickets are available on an individual night basis for both the Avalon round on Good Friday (see www.avalonraceway.com) and Premier Speedway round on Easter Sunday (see www.premierspeedway.com.au).

Tickets will also be available at the gate for all three Easter Trail venues.
