Whyalla To Host Shootout Series Opener

This Saturday night the hard work that the Sprintcars SA Executive Committee has put in over the past six months to develop the Sprintcars SA Southern Shootout Series will become a reality as the opening round is held at the Whyalla Speedway.
The annual Sprintcar event, known as the Iron Triangle Sprintcar Gold Cup, will double as the first of eight Southern Shootout Series rounds with the opener being presented by Whyalla Earthworks / Whyalla Mini Bins. The $5,000 to win race has attracted some of the best Sprintcars drivers in South Australia with Matt Egel, Luke Dillon, Lisa Walker, Keke Falland and Chad Ely all currently nominated.
In addition to Whyalla Earthworks securing the round naming rights Sprintcars SA is also pleased to welcome several other Gold and associate sponsors that will support the series throughout the 2023/24 season.
Revolution Racegear has agreed to sponsor the Quick Time Award at all rounds this Summer while Daniel Sayer, through his companies One6 Industries and Wide Open Clothing Co will sponsor the heat races.
In an attempt to raise the profile of the presentation and exposure for the series Luke Bowey, via his Showtime Signs business, has been busy producing club and sponsor decals, winner boards and sponsorship signage that will be on display at each of the Series events.
With events to be staged right across the State and into Victoria several other companies have come on board in recent weeks as the naming rights sponsors for upcoming rounds. Pro 4X4, Mount Gambier based Clarend Transport and Mildura’s Gateway Tavern have all been locked in for upcoming rounds.
Clarend Transport will be the major sponsor of Round 2, that will also double as the 2023/24 South Australian Championship at the Borderline Speedway on November 25.
