Q: How did you first get involved in motor sport? A: My Godfather had a dirt go kart which I began to race when I was 9 years old and later on raced Bitumen and Speedway karts also.
Q: What has been your greatest achievement in Sprintcar racing? A: There has been a couple- this year being SA 1 in 360s, being ranked number 2 in Australia in Totally Speedway magazine and runner up in the All Stars in my Rookie season.
Q: How do you rate the local racing in your state compared to the other states? A: The competition is very strong with anyone being able to have a win on the night.
Q: Do you believe that Sprintcar racing gets the exposure in the media it truly deserves? A: No it would be good to have more coverage on TV news, newspaper and radio on the results.
Q: Tell us in your own words how last season went from your point of view. A: It went well having 5 features wins, 9 podiums and 11 top 10 finishes from 12 meetings. Became SA1, won Mayors Cup, Speedway City Track Champion and SA State point’s winner.
Q: What track is your favourite and why? A: Warrnambool -where you can run either down the bottom or up near the fence and my home track Speedway City.
Q: Who is your most admired competitor and why? A: I don’t have one, I just enjoy racing against all competitors.
Q: Outside of Speedway what do you enjoy doing in your spare time? A: Relaxing with my family and friends.
Q: Growing up who was your childhood hero? A: Brooke Tatnell had a photo taken with him when I was little.
Q: Tell us about how you chose your racing number. A:In Karts and Wingless I was number 17, but that number was taken in Sprintcars and there was only a few numbers to choose from – hence now 78.
Q: I know it is early but do you have any plans set for next season? A: Will be stepping up to 410s running a Ford Roush Yates motor.
