The lismore gold cup was Max's first full race meeting since unfortunately breaking his wrist back in March and as the night progressed he quickly got back in the swing of things. After coming 4th quick in time trails, He got in a crash in the first heat which left him on the infield. With no points from the heat race it really hurt the chances of starting up front with the low car count.

Brisbane International Speedway last night hosted the re-running of round 8 of the Comp Cams Sprintcar Series after the original attempt in early March was abandoned prior to the feature events due to persistent rain. Peter Thorley took the win last night in a remarkable drive from the B-Main with (Vic) Grant Anderson and (NSW) David Doherty joining him on the podium. Series leader Cameron Gessner was fourth with Andrew Scheuerle rounding out the top five to stay in the championship running on a night where double points were on the line.
