With the Sprintcar season winding down the Trucks Plus team are looking to finish off strong with some good results in the last three shows to make up for Coyle’s past month of racing, The Krikke Boys Shootout wasn’t great and after the injury that Coyle suffered at the Perth Motorplex a fortnight ago that sent him down the AHG series points ladder several places. “It hasn’t been the best month for us, the Krikke boys show was a roller coaster with a good time trial but a cut tyre basically wrecked the weekend. At the Motorplex I couldn’t get to the A main in the 410 as I was still in the medical centre getting treatment for a crash in the 360 State Title which was no fault on mine either so it has been tough” Said the young gun Coyle. ... read more

Tonight’s round of the Tyrepower Parramatta City Raceway Sprintcar Track Championship is looming as one of the most exciting on record. Not in a long time have we seen the top two drivers chasing the Championship glory so close on points. Below is a closer look at the drivers who are going to battle it out to the end, Mitchell Dumesny and Marty Perovich.
Mitchell Dumesny:
Mitchell’s season has been very similar to last season, minus just one important ingredient – an A-Main win. Unlike last year when Mitchell greeted the chequered flag on three occasions, he is yet to stand on top of the presentation dais this season. However he does have more top three placings than last season. In the last two weeks though Mitchell has struggled. He has had to qualify through the B-Main which is something he has not had to do for over twelve months. At round fifteen on 20th February 2010, Dumesny failed to qualify for the A-Main after missing his heat earlier in the night. At the last meeting on 27th February 2010, he once again had to qualify through the B-Main but a great run in the A-Main from position 21 to finish in 9th place did help minimise the damage in the points chase. ... read more
