After starting from position 14 in the feature race, McFadden threw caution to the wind around the highline of the Bunbury City Speedway track and moved into fourth place by the middles stages of the race. McFadden was later passed by eventual runner up finisher Ryan Farrell for fourth place and on a restart in the closing stages McFadden passed American Sammy Swindell before the restart cone after the latter had appeared to slow and pull off the track.
